Who wants stinky smelly old sneakers? You might—if they belonged to the unstoppable Chipper Jones! Following the example of baseball legend Clyde “Sweet Feet” Livingston in Holes, the Atlanta Braves have generously donated sneakers for On The Same Page to auction off! You can be the proud owner of a pair of cleats worn by Chipper Jones, Freddie Freeman, Tommy Hanson or Kris Medlen.
On The Same Page is hosting a web auction on eBay running from Thursday, October 25th through Saturday, November 3rd. You can stop by Little Shop to see these humongous shoes in person. All proceeds will benefit Our House, a child care and support center for homeless families, as well as On The Same Page.
SHOE DRIVE
In conjunction, On The Same Page is hosting a shoe drive to benefit Our House. Please bring new and gently used shoes to Little Shop before November 3rd to be given to families at Our House. This is a great opportunity to give back to our community and just another way that we gain inspiration from this year’s book selection.
